China :)

In Home EC we have been assigned a project whereby we research a country of our choice and choose two savoury dishes and one sweet dish based on traditional food from that country. Myself and Rebekah chose China as we love Chinese food and would love to be able to cook a healthier version of take away. On Tuesday we made sweet and sour chicken with boiled rice. We followed a recipe that had been given great reviews and thankfully our turned out great too! So glad we picked china :) The two of us had not done Home EC for junior Cert and I think for that reason the novelty of cooking is still there and we felt like we had accomplished something amazing when nothing burned :)

Hockey Match :)

On Tuesday myself and the rest of the junior hockey team started our new league. We played our match in Lucan against St. Joseph's school. We still played through the wet and cold weather. However in the end it was worth it as we won our match. Hopefully we will continue the rest of the league in the same pattern :)

Work Experience :)

Today we had a half day :) So myself an Alison went down to St.Bridget's school to finalise our work experience in the school for March and organise confirmation. The school has changed so much since I had been there last and I can't wait to do my Work Experience there!
